<span ">The Association has constituted numerous awards to reward excellence in Microbiology and to encourage the upcoming and young Microbiologists. The Chapter provides a platform for them to share their scientific works with their peers. The main awards given during the quarterly meets include
- RA Bhujwala award for outstanding scientific work in STI/diagnostic microbiology
- VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital Young Scientist award
- Sanjay Sardana Memorial Award for outstanding work in immunodiagnostic techniques
- Dr Ashok Kumar Chakravarti Memorial Award for bioinformatics in infectious disease
- MAMC Award for best oral presentation by a Postgraduate student
- Mr Satish Chandra Talwar Memorial Award for Best Published Research Paper
- Best free poster awards by Delhi Chapter
- Lady Hardinge-MicroCon 2012-DC Quiz Award
- Meghana Krishna Baveja Memorial Award for paediatric infectious diseases
- Dr Usha Gupta award for best technician

Meghna Krishan Baveja memorial award is reserved only for Medical graduates pursuing MD/PhD or MD/PhD in Medical / Clinical Microbiology for outstanding scientific work as a poster presentation preferably on pediatric infectious diseases will be considered for such award during the first chapter meet. It attracts cash prize equivalent to the interest accrued on the TDR of the award money and a certificate.
Meghna Krishan Baveja, nicknamed Jenny was a second year medical student when she was snatched away by the cruel hands of fate. She was 19 years old at the time. Meghna was a kind, compassionate, brilliant, and the most giving person. She also had passion for arts-painting and writing. She wanted to become a paediatrician and serve the children. This award has been instituted in her memory and is awarded to a young scientists, once a year, who work on paediatric issues to improve child health.
